ميد: “صن لاند” تؤجل مشروع “آتريوم ” الذي تنفذه “ارابتك” بكلفة 2.4 مليار درهم

طلبت شركة “صن لاند الإمارات”، التي تطور مشروع آتريوم السكني، من شركة أرابتك أن تؤجل البدء في المشروع لمدة سنة على الأقل، بحسب ما أوردت نشرة ميد.
وكانت “ارابتك” فازت بعقد المشروع في شهر سبتمبر الماضي وتبلغ قيمة العقد حوالي 2.4 مليار درهم، ويقع في مدينة العرب على واجهة دبي البحرية، وهو يشمل بناء برجين سكنيين من 68 طابقاً و3 سراديب وبمساحة بناء إجمالية تبلغ 273 ألف متر مربع، ليتم تسليمه بعد 3 سنوات من انطلاق الأشغال به.
وقالت صن لاند لـ “ميد” أنّها لن تستأنف المشروع مالم تتمكن من بيع نصف وحدات المشروع البالغ عددها 1045 وحدة، وهو مالا تتوقع الشركة بلوغه خلال الـ 12 شهرا القادمة.
ويعد هذا المشروع ثالث مشروع كبير لصالح “ارابتك” يتم الغاؤه أو تاجيله حيث سبق وان قامت زعبيل للاستثمار في شهر ديسمبر الماضي بايقاف العمل في مشروع ابراج “تيارا” والذي فازت به ارابتك، كما ألغت شركة ميدان في مطلع الشهر الجاري عقدا مع أرابتك لبناء ميدان للسباق

NO DELAY: A source close to Sunland on Monday denied reports that the Atrium project in Dubai would be delayed.
Plans to build the $653 million Atrium project in Dubai’s Waterfront development are on track despite media reports of delays, a source close to the company said on Monday.
The Queensland-based property giant had reportedly postponed the scheme, located in the Madinat al-Arab at the Dubai Waterfront, the enormous residential seaside development in Jebel Ali, and that construction firm Arabtec had also delayed work on the project.
Although Sunland refused to make an official comment, a source close to the company told Arabian Business on Monday: “It is going ahead as planned. Any reports about a delay are speculation or may be confused with statements made by Waterfront’s master developer Nakheel.”
In December, state-owned Nakheel, which is building the Waterfront, said much of the project would be pushed back but work on districts including the Madiant al-Arab would continue.
Falling oil prices and the effects of the global financial crisis sweeping through the Gulf has seen many developers in Dubai cancel or postpone projects.
Sunland unveiled The Atrium in October at the Dubai property conference, Cityscape. The project, due for completion in 2013, consists of residential, leisure and retail space and will feature two giant arching towers that meet half way up.
Madinat al-Arab is the first phase of construction at Nakheel’s Waterfront, a 1.4 billion square foot seaside community made up of a series of man-islands, twice the size of Hong Kong.
Arabtec won the construction contract for the Atrium in September 2008.
