I dont know why, but the price of S500 (which they call it S550) in USA is cheaper then the S500 here and in some cases CHEAPER than the S350 that you get from EMC or Gergash!!! I dont understand why?? are we getting ripped off by EMC and Gergash?? I think so! maybe the options are less?? I dont know!! but let me give you an example:

this is a S550 on ebay and its selling for $90,000=332000 DHS !!!!! which is the same price as the S350 in Gergash or EMC..I am sure some of you will say options are differnet but I bought S350 with almost same options for 340,000 maybe the difference is Keyless go, sound system and two or more options only!!!
there is a LorinserS550 on ebay for $116000 which is almost 427,000 dhs ONLY which is still cheaper than the S500 here..and here is the link:

this is not a post to say buy from USA or Germany!!It just shocked me how cheaper it is there comparing to here..

  1. I honestly dont think the demand is the only reason!! I think the problem we have here is MONOPOLY..Gergash knows he is the only one you can get Benz from!! same things goes with Al futtaim with toyota and lexus!!! I believe if we had many dealers for Benz, things will be different..in USA in a small city you would find 3 to 4 dealers for benz ONLY, so if you get a bad service or price from one you will always go to another one..here not only the price is high but the serivce excuse my language is SH!T

    I had many bad experinces here, where in USA i bought 3 cars without even seeing them personaly and no problem at all..I think the goverment should do something and stop this monopoly for sake of better prices and better services for end consumers.

    we are getting ripped off, they sell you the car here at the dealer almost triple the cost because of shippment and they want to make even MORE profit
    thats true most of the cars in europe and USA are cheaper than here if you go to dubai showroom complex they even sell the european cars as much as the GCC specs because as my friend khalid911 said the demand is so high and people are so “SMART” they buy it if you what i mean

  3. this is also the case with the ML-class, here the cheapest one is about (ML350) 235000 where as in the USA is around 180000 max. no wonder why no one buys the ML-class

  4. I did not check the prices in europe no, but man the price differnece is crazy HIGH..
    for the price of a S350 from Gergash you get S550 Lorinser kit from USA..Haramyeh

    its because the demand is more than the supply …. every body wants an S-class benz and they want it right now, so basically prices will go high and in general in general i would never think of getting a benz from gergash .. EMC maybe but gergashe no way because they rip you off

    but did you try to check the prices in europe ?
    are they less or more ?
