I dont know why, but the price of S500 (which they call it S550) in USA is cheaper then the S500 here and in some cases CHEAPER than the S350 that you get from EMC or Gergash!!! I dont understand why?? are we getting ripped off by EMC and Gergash?? I think so! maybe the options are less?? I dont know!! but let me give you an example:

this is a S550 on ebay and its selling for $90,000=332000 DHS !!!!! which is the same price as the S350 in Gergash or EMC..I am sure some of you will say options are differnet but I bought S350 with almost same options for 340,000 maybe the difference is Keyless go, sound system and two or more options only!!!
there is a LorinserS550 on ebay for $116000 which is almost 427,000 dhs ONLY which is still cheaper than the S500 here..and here is the link:

this is not a post to say buy from USA or Germany!!It just shocked me how cheaper it is there comparing to here..

  2. there is nothing that we can do …… i myself is pissed @ the porsche dealer !!!!
    the standard Carrera S used to be sold for 275,000 you add 15,000 for tiptronic and and some minor extra options like metalic color etc. etc. … now the god damn thing costs 30,000 more thats why i never buy a brand new car even if am able to afford it ..

    on the other hand, talking about monopoly .. i guess its not long lasting there is a world wide agreement called ‘gatt’ or something its called …. there will be no more dealers anyone can import and sell the car and UAE has signed it …..

  3. man prices will go down if we stop monopoly..for exmaple al futtaim and there Lexus i dont think there is a waiting list for the LS430 but still the price is much higher than USA and oh the options is LESS..so everyone is buying from oman now, in fact i heard there is a service the omani dealer is giving is that they deliver the car to your door!!! and they have auto shops in case you want to fix your car under the warranty

    by the way flex is the ENZO picture for RRR if you know who i am talking about..he is a super cool and a very good friend..

  4. i agree with you regarding the service, but there are other sellers
    not dealers, but sellers from dubai complex in aweer and they have GCC specs cars and european and USA specs, but still the prices are HIGH too, the prices are high not because there is only 1 dealer the problem is people dont want to wait for the car like other countyr so they pay more just to get it today

    showing OFF is the main reason here
    price is not an issue
