My Choice
Choosing a major is the most difficult thing I have ever faced in my whole academic life. That is because of the variety of majors which the college is offering for us. At this time I’m confused between 3 majors and they are CNET, IT and Comm Tech. But the most major I like to go through is Comm Tech.
Communication Technology is a program that is full of fun and hard work at the same time. Comm Tech is the program where I can express my talent in way I choose and I want by studying journalism, graphic design and media production depending on my choice and abilities. Like any other major Comm Tech have many advantages and disadvantages in the way of studying and at the career future.
The advantages are that the Comm Tech students are doing many creative activities inside and outside the college to keep women’s voice as high as they can to present the picture of the Arabic women and to save her rights in this huge world. And they have an excellent and bright career future. Now days the UAE needs media people, especially women, to present the country’s name, because women have special thoughts and touch in their work and they know how to deal with colors and shapes more than the men in creating posters and the decoration.
In the other hand, Comm Tech has many disadvantages, one of them is that the people in UAE think that studying Comm Tech and working in Media field is only good for men, and about the woman who study Comm Tech and work in the media they think that she is an open mind woman and her habits are not good. And emirati men can’t accept women with open minds and free spirits.
For that we have to work hard to try to remove this bad thought about studying Comm Tech and working with it from the people minds and convince them and prove how is important to be a Comm Tech student.

Miss. Eggy’s routine
Miss. Eggy is a hard worker and energic missy. She wakes up at 6:30 am, wash her face and gets ready 4 her work till 6:40. She Cooks her breakfast and eats it at 7:00 am; she likes eating eggs with brown bred and orange juice to keep her fitness.
At 7:45 am she walks to her work. Miss. Eggy is so punctual, she calculates each second in her day to use it in useful things and not waste it. And She doesn’t like to change her routine. She has to type letters and ask for the companies address till 10:30, then she has to post the letters, after that she goes back to the office and stay there until 5:30 pm, what a hard work!
Miss. Eggy likes to play tennis, so every weekend at 6:30 she plans to go with her friend Meggy to The Eggs Club. And Every Thursday she likes to visit her uncle Mr. Eggo at 7:15, she stays there for two hours chatting with her uncle and asking for his advices.
Every night after the dinner at 10:00 pm Miss. Eggy sets on her desk and reads interesting books. At 11:30 she lays on her favorite sofa watching TV. Then she left to her bed at 12:00 am. She doesn’t like sleeping too much, it’s enough for her to sleep 6 or 7 hours, and she just eats two meals a day. Because of that Miss. Eggy always healthy and fitness. What a great missy.

Work placement experience

“Youth Entertainment Events”, a name of the company which the student who presented first worked at. She worked there for like 2 months. And her working day was starting from 9:00 am till 4:00 pm with one hour brake.
She was vary happy in here work and enjoyed it. First she felt very shy as like every person in his first time in working, but then day by day she relaxed and felt comfortable. The company’s staff was so kind and helpful which made her work easy and full of fun.
In addition of her knowing skills as communication skill, computing and programming skills, she learnt so many new skills like typing in Arabic and sending faxes, translating letters and calls and secretarial skills.
The student didn’t have any especial problems during her work placement; just she didn’t feel ok because the company’s office is too small. And the second problem was that most of the men there were smoking and she didn’t like that.
In the end of the presentation she said that she loved to go back and work there again after graduating. And she hoped that the new building of the company will be ready till her completely graduate.

FOR Project
Reflection
My project was about the future of E-Commerce. We wrote in the project about what is the E-Commerce and about its future. And also we included its advantages and disadvantages.
I started our project by listening to our teacher’s instruction with my partner Amal. And then we followed his instructions and started searching for the information about the E-commerce.
First of all we choose the Internet searching sites that we are going to search the information from and divided them between me and Amal, and also we search in the LRC’s commerce book and in the hanging files.
After collecting the needed information we started writing the introduction. Each of us wrote a different introduction and then we organized them and had joined them together. Also we did that with the rest parts of the project.
We didn’t face any especial problems in doing the project. Just that the teacher asked us to collect the information from four resources at least, but we could just find two resources, the Internet and the hanging file, but much of the information were from the Internet.
At the beginning of the project I was so confused about what to write and how to start. And I was too scared to not find the enough information and that because we couldn’t find enough sources. I felt that the project’s subject was very difficult. But during the project I felt little relax and comfortable and the subject became easier and we collected enough information, but
I was still worry about organizing the project.
After we finished the project I felt so happy and so relax. And I was proud of my self as a winner.
The project was so useful. I could improve my skill in doing project and made me be familiar with it. And it improved my knowledge about collecting the information from variety resources and organizing them. And also I knew more about the E-Commerce.
This project improved my many skills and gave me a chance to learn a new skills as like organizing the typing and using the excel program to do a survey.
I used my reading skill in searching the correct information from thousands information in hundreds sites. And also the project improved my writing skills.
I hope that the projects in year will be easy as the FOR project.

English Part
The project was about a small business called “The Lemonade Stand”. And I had to start my own Lemonade stand and make some money.
To start the game I had to write my name and age and select the temperature format. Then I chose the city that I want to start my business in. To start my business I took out my entire life saving of $5.00 and I rented a location in the city I chose for $0.80 per day. Now I was able to start the business.
First of all I had to buy an empty cups to make the Lemonade juice, the cost per cup was $0.50. Before buying I had to decide how many cups I have to make depending on the temperature and the chance of rain. Because more hot the weather is, more cups will be sold, so I have to make more cups and sell it for a sensible cost. And if the weather show that there is a chance for raining I have to make less cups and try to increase it’s cost. To get some profit.
The game was so easy that I didn’t face any problems with playing it, but I had some problem during I was working on the project, the floppy refused to open the pictures of day 5, day 9 and day 10, so I couldn’t print them. And my own printer was dead, so I had to repair it, but after I repair it the ink had finished and I didn’t find the settable ink for my printer in computer store. Then I had to printed black and white at the college.
During I was working on the project I learnt many useful things. I learnt how to run a business and make some money and I learnt how to use the Microsoft Excel tables and charts to show my business information, like the expenses and revenue and how much profit I got.
I really enjoyed on the “The Lemonade Stand” project. It was very easy and useful with lots of fun. I hope to get good marks.
